Creature Design Project

So this is a project we did in my illustration class. The assignment was to create a creature out of two or more already existing creatures.

Can anyone guess what two animals have been combined to make this creatures?

I made this using white scratchboard to which I added ink onto. I had a lot of fun with this project (even though it kicked my arse) and learned a new artform. Awesome!

I love how this came out. I would have liked to have made a background, too but I lost my nerve. lol My sister wants me to give her the original but she just might have to settle fo a photocopy. It's just too cool to give away! XD
